Get to know the La French Tech Tokyo board and volunteers.

Board members guide strategy and governance, and volunteers make it all happen through events, partnerships, and community support for French–Japanese startups.

About the board elections

The board is renewed every two years through open community elections. Volunteers are appointed throughout the year based on program needs. The next mandate starts on 1 January 2026.

What guides the process?

  • 9 elected members
  • Minimum 40% women
  • At least 70% founders or investors
  • Up to 30% innovation leaders
  • English is the working language

Applications usually open from October to November, with interviews conducted by the current board and community-wide voting in December, organized alongside the French Embassy.

Slack community members are eligible to vote. Sign up to receive the election schedule, candidate details, and calls for volunteers.
