La French Tech Tokyo Board Elections 2026
We’re excited to officially launch the election process for the next Board of Directors of La French Tech Tokyo, who will begin their mandate on January 1st, 2026.
The Board of Directors is at the heart of La French Tech Tokyo. It defines the community’s vision, sets priorities, and turns ideas into real projects. This is your chance to play an active role in shaping the future of our community, to bring your ideas, energy, and perspective to the table as we continue building bridges between French and Japanese innovation ecosystems.
What Does the Board Do?
- Defining the vision, roadmap, and project priorities for La French Tech Tokyo
- Representing La French Tech locally and internationally
- Supporting startups and founders through networking, events, and initiatives
- Bringing ideas to life through collaboration across communication, partnerships, and operations
What’s Expected from Board Members?
- A voluntary commitment requiring real engagement
- A minimum of 4 hours per month dedicated to board activities and community events
- Active participation in board meetings and initiatives
- A strong sense of initiative, collaboration, and ownership
Diversity and Representation
- 9 members elected for a 2-year term
- At least 70% entrepreneurs, including founders, current or former executives (VP, C-levels, or directors) of startups, and venture capitalists.
- Up to 30% innovation leaders, consultants, or ecosystem players
- Minimum 40% women
Key Dates
- Application deadline: November 10th via the online form available on our Slack (members only)
- Interviews: With current board members in November (pre-selected candidates only)
- Election: In December, conducted in partnership with the French Embassy to ensure transparency and rigor
