La French Tech has just released its latest overview of the French Tech ecosystem, and the numbers confirm a story of continued growth, resilience, and international reach.

Here are the key highlights:

• 18,000 active startups making up a mature and diversified ecosystem
• 450,000 direct jobs created across the country
• Nearly €5 billion raised in the first half of 2026 alone
• France ranks as Europe’s 3rd-largest ecosystem for fundraising in H1 2026
• 78 French Tech Communities across 57 countries, extending the ecosystem’s global footprint

Beyond the figures, this edition frames French Tech as a driver of sovereignty: a strategic lever for technological independence in critical sectors such as AI, deeptech, health, and green energy.
